THE EDUCATION DIGEST
MISSION AND AUDIENCE STATEMENT

The Education Digest seeks to provide original and secondary-source articles and ideas which teachers, administrators, and lay people across all levels of education and other fields can use to understand current education problems and issues better, get new insights on them, and help deal with them more successfully, whether their effort is for use in direct-contact situations with students or simply for their own personal knowledge and learning.

It seeks to avoid “educationese” and stay on top of education issues and problems to make them as accessible and understandable as possible to the widest possible range of readers.

In every issue of The Education Digest

Education Resources / Book Reviews features Dudley Barlow reviewing new books and other educational media.

Washington News offers the latest news and views from Capitol Hill and environs, served up by Anne Lewis, long-time, highly respected writer and columnist in the education field. Here you’ll find her current column.

The Teachers’ Lounge provides perspectives on (and ideas for!) teaching from Dudley Barlow, a retired 40-year public-school teacher and writer on teachers’ issues. This column sometimes offers teachers’ lesson plans free for the asking.
